Shennan Kavanagh

Boston, MA attorney Shennan Kavanagh - class actions and consumer finance litigationShennan Kavanagh is a partner at the Boston law firm Klein Kavanagh Costello, LLP.  She formerly practiced at Roddy Klein & Ryan in Boston.

Throughout her career, Ms. Kavanagh has focused on class actions and consumer finance litigation. She has been a lead lawyer in a wide variety of cases challenging unfair lending practices, including class action cases against Ameriquest Mortgage Company, Bank of America, and Greenpoint Mortgage. Her successes are many and varied, including multi-million dollar settlements, successful appellate advocacy and appointments as lead class counsel in federal courts across the country, but she is proudest of successfully representing individual homeowners on a pro bono basis and preventing foreclosures. 

Ms. Kavanagh is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School (J.D., cum laude) and the University of Vermont. She has spoken and written frequently on consumer law, class actions and achieving success in legal practice.  She is currently co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Class Action Committee.  From 1997 to 1999, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea, West Africa.
